Great home for raising a family in Biltmore Forest

This is certainly not the first interview we’ve ever done for a real estate video, but it is the first time we’ve had such an emotional response from our interviewee’s. Ann Skoglund of Beverly-Hanks interviewed the family that has lived in this home at 9 Eastwood Road in Biltmore Forest for years. Their children grew up here, and they had nothing but wonderful things to say about the experience.

Interviewing a family or the homeowners is a really effective way of giving the house a voice. Personal accounts of how a house was utilized and lived in helps the viewer see the property as more than just a house, but a home.

Ann Skoglund of Beverly-Hanks did another interview, this time with the architect of this home in Biltmore Forest. Special aspects of a home’s design are put to the forefront when people involved with a house’s construction are brought in to do an interview. Features like the landscaping and the wood-work at 24 Eastwood may have been overlooked if not for the special point of the view of our interviewee. Ann gets in on the action too and gives a personal account on the benefits of living in Biltmore Forest.

Listing agents Scott Mills and William Coin with Beverly-Hanks wanted to make a real estate video that would demonstrate lifestyle rather than just talk about it. This luxurious penthouse condo is right in the middle of downtown Asheville on South Lexington street. Asheville is known for it’s arts and culture, dining and music and this home is perfect for anyone wanting to be able to enjoy all of that without getting in their car. We also wanted to show/demonstrate the state of the art security system which can be controlled from your smart phone. A truly unique home in a very unique town.

Happiness in a Dome Home

Paul Wilander is back and in a bald cap for this funny take on a real estate video. Although we had a very short window to film The Dome and the homeowner, we believe we pulled off the joke. Heath was sure to look around for round and dome-shaped items to really drive the joke home. Paul came up with much of the script and did a great job of keeping a straight face (at least through a couple of takes!). This shoot was really fun to film and even funnier to edit. All involved had a great time! The owner was so into the concept that he even shaved his head just for the shoot.

Lake-side Home in Fairview

Miriam McKinney of Beverly-Hanks joins forces with Residential Photography and Video for the first time with this home, and the result is nothing less than “cinematic.” This lake-side home is an awesome place for anyone who loves the outdoors, and we really wanted to highlight the luxuries of having a lake in your back yard. Miriam acts out a scene where she is invited to go kayaking, and simply walks off her pack porch and into an outdoor enthusiast’s heaven.

Also, note the bird’s-eye view of Miriam on the back deck of the home. Heath climbed to the roof of the house with this camera rig to get that shot! Brave man!

High Vista Home near Asheville

Interviews with people who are tied closely to a property is an excellent way of giving the house a voice. The seller (and owner for the past 15 years) of 41 Sourwood Drive was a lovely interviewee who spoke with such passion and sincerity about her home, you’re compelled to check out the house for yourself. This video turned out to be a pretty unique experience for everyone involved in its development. We had some trouble coming up with a script that appropriately involved both of the brokers, Chris Battista and Ann Skoglund. So, Heath decided to do away with our traditionally narrated concept, and instead do a visual tour of the estate guided by our brokers. What we ended up with was a really special story of a home, told through the people “living” it out on film.
